Main Aims

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (5-6 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Ask SS what words they remember from the previous lesson in the way of contest. Ask - Do you like cooking? What cakes do you like?

Exposure (3-3 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

Watch the video and try to remember the items of food Individual assesment

Highlighting (5-6 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

ex 1 What cake do they cook in the video? Underline all items of food in the text while listening to the text. Whole class assesment

Clarification (13-14 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

ex 6 Look at the vocabulary box. Are there any unknow words? Lets listen and repeat ex 7 Look at my pictures. Can we count eggs? Can I say 1 egg? Can I say 2 eggs? We can count eggs. Can we count milk? Can I say 1 milk? Can I say 2 milks? We can't count milk. Countable nouns - we can count. Uncountable nouns - we can't count. Look at ex 7 and comlete the shoping bags. Now let's come back to the text and underlined words. Find the words before which you see a. Find the words before which you see some.Find the words before which you see any. Can we use SOME with UNcoun? Can you we use SOME with Coun? Can we use Any in questions? Can we use some in questions?
