Description

In this lesson, students are going to use both the simple past and present perfect grammar tenses. They have already learned the difference between them. The class starts with a controlled practice exercise on the grammar that we couldn’t finish in the previous session. It is followed by a speaking task in which they are given some cards and they have to make questions in the present perfect tense and the simple past tense with their partner. Then, following the steps of the book, they will work on the forms of irregular verbs and their pronunciation. The class terminates with another speaking task similar to the first one. In this part, they need to find the missing words in each question and ask their partner by using the correct form of the verbs.

The students will practice the past participle forms (third form) of irregular verbs, including those verbs that have different forms for the simple past and the past participle.

Following this, students will practice the form and pronunciation of the verbs by sorting them into the correct columns. Additionally, an audio file will be played to model correct pronunciation, allowing them to learn the sounds more effectively.

In this stage, students will be given a task featuring questions with missing words. They must identify the missing words based on the required tense of each sentence (either simple past or present perfect). Subsequently, they will ask and answer these completed questions with a partner, ensuring they use the correct verb forms in their conversations.
