in this lesson, students learn how to use be going to sentences to talk about actions in the future through PPP in the contexts of war and its effects on the dollar and immigration. the class will be started by a talk about the israel's attack and student's prediction about the price of the dollar. it will be followed by telling them about my immigration.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

the class started by a talk about some news about Israel's attack and its impact on the price of the dollar and the student's predictions about the them. it will be followed by asking them to cancel our class for next session because of my job interview in a foreign company and my immigration.

Highlighting (2-3 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

i will ask them to open their student books on that 2 pages and underline every verb that it comes with ing to draw their attention to the ing form of the verbs.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

i will draw a time line on the board and ask the students some CCQs :Are the sentences about the past,now or future? future. Are they going to start just now? yes,for example: look at the dark clouds in the sky! its going to rain. Can i mention the time it will be happen? yes. I will elicit the structure from the students by asking about the role of the words and and the way i have added ing to the verbs. sub+am/is/are+going to+verb(base form). i will tell them how to change the positive sentences to negative and question forms with some examples.

Controlled Practice (10-12 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

students are going to do gap filling task on page 135 in the grammar bank in 4 minutes. they will have 2 minutes to check their answers in pairs and then we will check the answers with the whole class.

Free Practice (10-13 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

The students are going to make groups of 3 or 4 of them. they will have 8 minutes to talk about the war and the effects of that on dollar price. at the end, at the end they are going to talk about the effects that we will face in our life. they will be monitored and feedback will be given at the end if needed.
