in this lesson students are going to learn how to use past simple tense to talk about the things they did in the past through PPP in the context of holiday .The lesson starts with a talk about the way we spent our last weekend.It is followed by a discussion about students` best holiday with a focus on accuracy.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

the class will be started by a talk about the way i spent my last weekend .it will be followed by asking students to tell the class about the way they spend their weekend. Then i will ask my students to tell me about their weekend

Highlighting (2-3 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

i will choose 3 of my students sentences to write in the correct past simple form on board

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

i will draw a timeline

Controlled Practice (10-12 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

Free Practice (10-14 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language
