Warm Up (5-6 minutes) • Students will activate their previous knowledge about numbers.

I will draw grids on the board and will separate it into small boxes. I will ask; -How many small boxes make the whole grid? -100 boxes I will shade 10 box and ask; - what part of the grid is shaded? -1/10 (One tenth) I will shade 20 boxes and ask: - what part of the grid is shaded now? - 20/100=1/5 (two tenth or one fifth) I will shade 25 boxes and ask; - what part of the grid is shaded? - 25/100= 1/4 (a quarter) I will shade all the boxes - 100% is shaded. Then I will give them related vocabulary indicating the taught numbers such as decimals, percentage and fractions. Will do corrections on the spot in their pronunciation.
