Students will be able to talk about Travel experiences using present perfect and past simple. They will practice asking and answering questions about travel sharing personal experience, and discussing future travel plans

Main Aims

  • To provide accuracy speaking practice in a Conversation in the context of Travel

  • To provide practice of Present Perfect in the context of Travel

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (8-10 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Hot seat game; one student stands in front of the board facing the whole class, the teacher writes on word on the board, students will try to explain the word to the player, if he guess it right, he wins.

Exposure (12-15 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

T will talk about a previous experience that he had in the past using the target language, then elicit the difference between past simple and present perfect

Highlighting (5-7 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

T explains the forms of both past simple and present perfect with affirmative, negative, and question

Clarification (2-5 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

T will explain the use of the target language, revise on the form and the pronunciation of its contractions

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

Activity: "Have you ever...?" survey students will have a list of activities and go around the class asking each others using the target language

Presentation (25-30 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

S will start to prepare a presentation talking about a past experience they've had in the past using the target language. and the proceed to present them.

Wrap up and Feedback (15-20 minutes) • To provide students with their Errors and how to avoid them

T will highlight most of the students' mistakes and give tips and tricks on how to avoid these mistakes.
