Procedure (38-50 minutes)
In this stage, I will ask students about their last night dream. Then they will go to practice part a in pairs for 5 minutes. after that I will ask their opinion.
In this stage, I will ask the meaning of some words like "psychoanalyst, nightmare". Then students will be asked to watch a video and take some notes about the dreams Tom had and their meaning. After that I will ask some questions: 1. how many dreams Tom has every night? 5 dreams 2. how long does each dream take?15-40 3.what was his first dream and what does it mean?sb running after you-sth is worrying you in real life 4. what was his second dream and what does it mean? you can't find sth you need-sth stressful that you wanna do soon 5. tell me about his 3rd dream? when you're unprepared for your exam-it happens for young adults or children when they are under stress-if you don't have any exams in your real life it means you are lack of confidence 6. tell me about dream number4? falling or flying-if you feel you are in control, so you are successful but when you are out of control your life isn't well 7. what was his 5th dream? you are under water-if you are happy and can breath you have some strong feelings about sb 8. what was his 6th dream? when you are in and out of control vehicle-cars are about your directions in life. loosing control of the car= loosing your life control. if sb drives, the have problems in their life. 8. what about dream 7? finding new room- you have exciting time in your life and discovering new possibilities. white room: beginning new life. 9. what was his 8th dream? u're late for a meeting: worry about taking new direction in your life-not confident and have no time to do sth
students will be asked to listen to 6.14 b and number the pictures in correct order. Then we will check together. Then they should listen again in part c to fill the gaps..
at this point, I will ask them to do exercise d alone. then they will compare it with their partner. after that, in part e by listening to 6.15 they can check their answers. Then to find out what was the meaning of his 5th dream they should listen to 6.16 individually then we will check the answer
now I want them to talk about their good and bad dreams. 1 good dream and 1 bad dream.
