Description
In this lesson Ss are going to develop their listening skils with a video where people talk about hobbies.
Materials
Main Aims

To provide listening practice using a video about hobbies in the context of hometown or traveling.
Subsidiary Aims
-
To provide speaking practise by exploring the relation between food and different sorts of hobbies.
Procedure (11-14 minutes)
Pre-Reading/Listening (3-4 minutes) • To prepare students for the video and make it accessible
Asking students to focus on the different accents of people talking about thier hobbies. Play a short video.
While-Reading/Listening #2 (3-4 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks
Ask students to focus on the many activities that poeple talk about in a longer video.
Post-Reading/Listening (5-6 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned
Ask Ss to talk about what sort of activities they like and what kind of food is more convinient for every activity. 1. Have you ever (hobbie)? 2. What do you usually eat before/during/after? Thank students for their participation.
