Description

In this stage students are going to learn first conditional,then they will able to talk about their future posibilities.The lesson will begins through the context of real or possible conditions and results.

Main Aims

  • To provide clarification of first conditional in the context of real or possible condition and situation

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide accuracy speaking practice in a conversation in the context of real or possible condition and situation

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

In this stage i will start the class by soeaking about exam result. I wiil ask my student to tell me what happens if they study or don't study.

Highlighting (1-3 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

In this stege i will write some sentences related to first conditional on the board and ask them to tell the possible condotion and result.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

I will clarify the meaning by writing conditional sentences on the board and askin some CCQ: Is it about the past or present or future? what is the first conditional used for? Is this sentence a condition or a result? wiil the result happen in the future? After that i will the structure from the students to clarify how to form sentences. The positive and negative form and the comma rule is mentioned here. The modal verb "can" which can replace "will" is mentioned here.

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

The studwnts are going to do exercise A on page 141 in grammar bank in 4 minutes. And then we check the answers with all the children one by one.

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

Finally, I will ask the students to talk about the superstitions they have heard or MurPh's Law in the form of first conditional structure.
