Procedure (16-24 minutes)
In this stage I will start by saying some sentences containing present perfect and yet and already in them to help students be somehow familiar with them. (Sentences will be extracted from the text on page 30)
In this stage as i mentioned in previous stage I will write answers given by students on the board in the correct form to draw their attention to target language For example answers of students : 1_ No , I have not been to canada. 2_ I have (already) had a car. 3_ No, I haven't watched new Turkish series (yet). (Just in case, already and yet will be written by me as students don't know how to use them.)
I will clarify the meaning of present perfect by drawing a timeline on the board and ask some CCQs from students ( are the sentences about the past,present or future? Is there any relationship between students' answers with the present? ) moreover, I will mention the contraction forms of have and has and negative contracted forms of them Then, I will explain how to use Yet and Already in present perfect and write two new sentences on the board to help students be more familiar with their structure. Finally, I will breifly mention some past participle form of regular and irregular verbs and how to pronunce them such as said ,thought, taught,broken,eaten ,taken and so on.
In this stage students are expected to do some exercises on page 132 A4 part a and then part b in 4 minutes on their own .Afterwards ,they will have 2 minutes to check their answers in pair and finally we will check the answers altogether.
In the last stage I will ask students to have a conversation in groups of 3 or in pair about some movies which they have ever watched and they ask each other whether they have watched those movies or not with using Yet and Already if possible .
