In this lesson, Ss will be exposed to the usage of the first conditional.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (2-4 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T will show Ss three pictures of different places in Amsterdam and ask them to have a quick chat about :" If you go to Amsterdam, where will you visit first,second and third? why?"

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

T will show the highlighted marker sentences in the text on the board and then distribute the CCQ handouts in order to encourage the Ss to analyze the meaning and then form of the TL through the text.T will monitor them while doing the task to decide what points should be mentioned and need more clarification.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

T will get the feedback, clarify some parts if necessary and will present the pronunciation.

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

T will distribute HO2 among the Ss .they will do the exercise and then check their answers with their partners and then by the teacher.

Semi-Controlled Practice (4-6 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

T will distribute the cards on which there are 3 unfinished conditional sentences .the Ss firstly will find their partner based on their card's color and then will complete the sentences with their partners.

Free Practice (4-6 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

Ss will sit beside their partners and talk about " what is your recommendation for visitors to your country?"

Fill-In (1-3 minutes) • to correct errors and mistakes

T will write some errors made by the Ss and present the correct form
