Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-4 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will ask my Ss to think about the latest experiences they've had. 1.- What did you do last year?

Exposure (3-4 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

I will ask my Ss to read a text and tell me what it is about.

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

I will ask Ss to underline all examples of the target language of the text.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

MEANING: I will ask Ss some CCQs to identify meaning: When are these actions referring to (present /past/future)? 1.- I have been to Canada twice. When are these actions referring to? - Past Do I know exactly when the action took place? - No FORM: I will ask my Ss to identify the different components in the structure: SUBJECT + _______________ + _______________ + COMPLEMENT.
