Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-4 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will ask my Ss to discuss the following two questions: 1. How often do you travel? 2. Do you like it very much? I will ask the Ss to discuss these questions in the BreakOut Rooms.

Pre-Reading/Listening (4-5 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

I will ask Ss to read the following sentences and answer the questions that follow them. MEANING 1: I RACED to the hospital. CCQ: Did I go to the hospital fast or slowly? / Did I have an emergency? 2. 3. FORM I would elicit the Form from Ss. PRONUNCIATION 1: I will model words. 2. I will ask Ss to identify number of syllables and stress. 3. I will ask Ss to drill.

While-Reading/Listening #1 (6-7 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

I will ask Ss to read the text quickly and create a title for it. I will give my Ss 3 minutes only, and this will be individual work.

While-Reading/Listening #2 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

I will ask Ss to read statements for 1 min. Once they do that, they will read the text and decide if these are T / F. I will ask my Ss to justify their answers.

Post-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

I will ask my Ss to discuss these questions: 1.- If you had money, where would you travel and why?
