To provide fluency and accuracy speaking practice in a conversation in the context of who we live with
Procedure (35-55 minutes)
T shows Ss a presentation about Andy and his life.T asks Ss CCQs such as 'do you remember Andy? What does he do? Who does he live with?'.T divides the students into groups and they discuss the answers. T writes Ss' answers to the board to use them in the next stage.
T personalises the CCQs from the previous stage and asks a student these personalised CCQs such as 'What do you do? Where do you live? etc.'. T writes the answers on the W/B. T highlights the form of present simple. T elicits the difference of 'he,she,it' in present simple tense.
T introduces the task by modelling on the W/B. T asks ICQs. T distributes the HOs. Ss do the first exercise in 2 minutes and then they peer-check. T posts the written records of answers on the walls. Ss stand up and check their answers. The procedure is same for the second exercise except there is a whole-class feedback now. T writes the answers on the W/B. After the second exercise T changes the partners and Ss ask each other the questions in the second exercise.
T draws the table on the T's Bk p.30 on the W/B. T models questions from the table. Ss listen and repeat. T introduces the task. T chooses a S to interview. T encourages the S to respond quickly. T gives Ss the HOs and Ss interview each other. Then Ss change partners. Ss interview their new partners by writing the answers on the HOs to write a small profile of their partners. T collects all the profiles and gives them to other Ss. Then Ss read the profiles and try to guess whose profile it is.
