Procedure (37-47 minutes)
In this stage, the students will answer the following questions in pairs: - Do you often remember your dreams? - Have you ever had the same dream more than once? - Have you ever dreamed about something that then happened? - Do you think dreams can tell us something about the future?
The students will be informed about the meaning of the following vocabularies (alongside their forms and pronunciations) and then they match the definition of the terms with the terms individually. Then they will check their answers in pairs and then with the whole class. suddenly- frightened- incredibly- freezing- interesting- interpretation
The students will listen to the audio (6.14), a psychoanalyst talking to a patient about his dream and then number the pictures 1-15. Then the students will check their answers with the whole class.
The students will listen to the audio track again and fill in the blanks with the correct form of the verbs. Then they will check the answers first in pairs and then with the whole class.
The students will discuss what the patient's dream means and match four of the things in his dream to interpretations 1-4 with the whole class. Then they will listen to tracks 6.15 and 6.16, check their answers in exercise 'd' and then discuss in groups what they think the meaning of picture 5 could be.
