Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Welcome everyone, introduce myself, elicit ways of getting to know people. ie talking to them, asking questions, listening, reading about them....

tell your group about game (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

introduce the game, model how the game will be played, go through any neccessary vocabulary. elicit which words need to be gone through and try elicit meanings from the class.

playing the game (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

play through the game with the students. think of other questions you could ask people and how you could answer them.

Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

get students to ask and reply to questions that they have thought up. board work of errors heard. peer correction.
