To give sts semi-controlled speaking practice to develop their spoken accuracy.
Procedure (36-53 minutes)
T will show some Turkish famous people's photos and ask sts: Who are they? What are their jobs? Do you know what they were doing when they were young?
T will write work, job, and career on the board and ask students if they know the differences among them. If not, t will shortly describe them. Also, sts will be helped to pronounce them. Job and work has the same meaning. Job is countable, but work is uncountable. Career is the series of jobs. It is countable. CCQs will be asked Is work uncountable? (Yes) Is job countable? (Yes) Can we have a career without having a job? (No)
