By the end of the lesson, students will be able to create a dialogue in a veterinary context in which they give their opinion and ask for agreement, using appropriate expressions to share perspectives and maintain polite professional interaction.
Subsidiary Aims

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to create a dialogue in a veterinary context in which they soften their opinions using phrases like "I guess" and "I feel like", demonstrating polite and collaborative communication when discussing treatment options or animal care decisions.
Procedure (42-53 minutes)
Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
The teacher shares an online activity and asks the students to complete it in pairs.
Exposure (6-8 minutes) • To provide a model of the task and highlight useful words and phrases
The teacher elicits students to remember the characteristics of a good dialogue.
Task (25-30 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills
The teacher gives the students a piece of paper and asks them to create a dialogue in which they give an opinion, ask for agreement and agree in a veterinary context. She emphasizes that they must also include two other functions covered in previous classes.
Language Analysis (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the task language
The teacher provides feedback on their dialogue and asks them to create a final version and submit it as a PDF.
