Description

In this lesson students learn to us "S " after the verbs when the subject pronouns are third person like she,he and it. also they will have some speaking practice in the context of work.

Materials

Procedure

Warm Up/ Review (7-10 minutes) • To set lesson context, engage students and review the words they have already learned

T will group students by colours then play the "back to the board "game

Present the Grammar (10-12 minutes) • To introduce the usage of third person singular

T will stick two pictures ( an actress and a soccer player ) on the board and ask them to guess who are they and what do they do? Ss will talk and answer the questions in pairs in 2 minutes. Feed back: T will elicit the ideas and write the sentences they have provided on the board and will clarify the meaning and form respectively.

Controlled Practice (5-7 minutes) • to practice the grammar and clarify the usage of third person singular

Ss will stand up in a group, find and stick the appropriate verbs on the pictures which are on the wall.

Free Practice (5-7 minutes) • To make sure if they themslves can produce the grammar correctly or not

Ss in pairs will do the Gap fill hand out and check together then they will stand up and look at the answer keys which are stuck on the wall and check their answers. WCFB : the whole class will answer to the questions.

Speaking Practice (7-10 minutes) • to make the Ss to speak and use the grammar and words they have already learned

T will distribute a speaking handout. Ss have to work in pairs refer to the handout and talk about themselves and ask each other more questions.T will monitor and help them in question making and correct them if necessary.
