Procedure (44-69 minutes)
ask if they know how to make an omlete elicit some answers about ingridients they use to make it show a video of a cooking scene. ask "what is happening here?" elicit the verbs like "crack", "mix" and "pour".
instruct them to read and do 2 things: 1. suggest a title (I need it at the end to say " how an omlete is made") 2. highlight 1 verb each write down 2 sentences on board asking: who is doing the action? we dont know Is it important who is doing it? no
display slide 4 to talk about active and passive 1. elicit "what is the difference?" 2. explain in the seconf sentence the subject is not the center of our focus anymore, it's the action we care about.

Teacher monitor each person to check and correct on the spot
less controlled monitoring by teacher then groups check the answer with eachother
class survey 1. students walking around the class ask each other questions like: " what is cooked at your home every day?" " what is usually done at your school in the morning?" 2. they have to write down the answer in passive voice 3. report to the class.
