Procedure (29-45 minutes)
I will expose students to the picture and have a brainstorm. Prompt the question "What are they talking about", let´s say phrases that come to your mind. I will write down the sentences to check if they have previous vocabulary.
1.Students will read the the questions (to give them the prupose of what they will be looking for in the audio) 2.The audio will be play two times and they will work in peers. 3.They need to answer the questions together (providing time to discuss their findings) 4.Feedback will be with the whole class. I will provide full answers if they do not provide the whole sentence written.
1. They will choose in a google form (the purpose of the functional language) Providing clarification in meaning. 2. Feedback will be together and I will do CQs just to check if the tenses and meaning were understood. 3. Students will be exposed to form of 4 phrases. They will need to break the sentences to get the form (I will give examples and guide the activity). They will also create questions or answers using the same form when it is the case (Would, Wh questions) 4. Pronuntiation will be provided for me saying the whole example and they need to ask the question to a mater to get the answer and check both students pron and intonation.
In pairs, students will imagine they are planning a holiday together. They must ask each other questions (using “Where would you like to go?”, “Would you rather…?”) and discuss preferences. (Use one option of the Holidays provided) They must agree on: Destination Duration (days, weeks) Type of place (beach, city, countryside, quiet, exotic, etc.) Number of people traveling Hotel or self-catering Why they chose
Students will join other pairs. (Join 2–3 pairs into small groups) (4–6 learners). Each pair presents their holiday plan to the others, using the functional language: “We’re going to…” “We chose this holiday because…” And decide: “Whose holiday would you most like to join?”, “Which holiday was most surprising/interesting?”
I will monire though the BORS and check how are they using the F.language. I will write some sentences and provide delayed error correction.
