To provide accuracy speaking practice in a conversation in the context of chores
Procedure (25-35 minutes)
I will start the class with the things and the chores I have done today so far and the things I haven't done. I will also ask the students to engage and tell me about their day as well.
In this stage the students are going to listen to the story again and act it out in groups of three.
In this stage I will write examples of present perfect used in the story to get the students' attention to the TL.
In this stage the tense will be clarified by asking some CCQ questions and showing it on a timeline: -Are these sentences about past, present or future? past. -Are they still true now?(Can we see the effect or result of this action now in the present time)? yes they are. Then with the help of the students we will write the structure of the present perfect tense. After all this I will explain to them what regular and irregular verbs are.
In this stage the students are going to do exercise 3 and we will check the answers all together. Then they will do exercise 4 and check the answers in pairs then we will check it all together.
