Introductions: > Tell me about yourself (what field do you work in, why you are here, what areas you want to work on the most, etc) TOP TEN MISTAKES HO - correct the sentences

Exposure (10-20 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

1.Okay, now let's look at some mistakes made in more formal/corporate speech: -Corporate affairs HO (St correct the mistakes, then give AK and work through together) 2. Highlight specific vocabulary-- words unscramble HO - ask St to give verbal examples of each word in his personal business context 3. Prepositions - Options and choices HO

Useful Language (10-20 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

Intro to decision making language: 1. Who are you most like HO 2. 3 company/decision making slips (read & tell me the decision making process for each) 3. Read the three audio scripts (S read for business owner & T read for interviewer) then decide which slip belongs to which person.

Productive Task(s) (12-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

1. P. 166 HO-- Decide on one of the given options from 1-8 - S uses language to explain why each option was chosen 2. Useful phrases for business conversation (Rick/Kevin HO) 3. Match slips-- match the phrase to the definition - use words on slips to do EMAIL HO (4)

Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language
