Description

In this lesson, students will learn about famous international inventions and how to describe them using nationality adjectives and passive voice structures. They will develop their grammar skills by focusing on passive constructions in the past tense and improve their vocabulary with nationality adjectives.

Procedure

Warm up (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I printed some pictures of international inventions to discuss about them

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or a situation

After we debated about the inventions and the people from the countries, we will check the first part of the course book.

Presentation (5-15 minutes) • To draw student's attention to the target language

Now students know that we're talking about the people from a country so I will teach the structure of The+nationality adj + s

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

Now it's time to work on the pronunciation of the nationality adjectives

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

Now I'm going to ask students to play a game in which we have 30 seconds to choose a country and say the nationality adjective + the people from that country. The one who couldn't make it when the time is up , is out of the game.
