To provide gist, scanning and detailed reading practice using a text about going on a vacation with your friends

To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation in the context of travel.
Procedure (39-48 minutes)
In this stage, students are asked: imagine that you want to go on a trip with your friends. Think of some essential equipment that you should take with yourself. Talk about the things you have thought about with the class.
The students are going to be thought about the meaning of the vocabularies: Miss (v), Distance (N), Look for (phraseal verb), On your own (alone). They will be told the correct meaning of each word and then they will be asked to use the words in some examples.
In this stage, students are going to read the article. They are asked answer following questions: What did sam lose? Did he find it?
In this stage, The students need to read the article again and correct the bold information about the text. For example: Sam went to Andes with (his family). The view (was not very good). It started to get (warmer). He found his phone in his (bag).
The students are asked to discuss the following questions in groupes of 3: What would you do if you lost your phone or equipment during a trip? who would you prefer to travel with? your friends or family? why? Do you feel nervous when you miss your stuff? why or why not?
