Description

In this lesson, we will talk about adjectives. Students will learn how to describes noun or things. It can describe size, shape, color. They will learn the adjectives position.

Materials

Abc Pictures

Main Aims

  • To provide clarification How to describe a noun, thing.

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide accuracy and fluency speaking practice in a discussion in a context .

Procedure

warmer\lead -in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students.

I will start by describing myself. The students will have a competition in group in 3 minutes. The group that finds the most adjectives will be the winner. They will have to describe a person from the other groups using 3 adjectives

Test 1 (6-8 minutes) • Knowledge of the target language

SS will use some adjectives from the warmer to associate them to some pictures.

Teach (8-10 minutes) • To make clear the section of the TL where they had problems.

I will make a double check such as review parts of speech. They will check their answers in pairs and i will write some on the board to explain some grammatical rules. I will stick some explicit rules on the board that the students will must follow for the next exercıse T will introduce the word "very" by showing 2 pictures.

test 3 (3-5 minutes) • individual matching activity

They will have an exercise to find the opposite of some adjectives. They will correct the answers in pairs

pre-listening • To prepare students for the listening

T will ask Ss to take a look at pictures on the board and discuss to find the opposite. T will model the first one .

language focus (5-6 minutes) • To focus more on the grammatical rules and to give the students the chance to use it

T will instruct the students to do the exercise 3 by putting an example on the board very/ It's/ computer/ a/ old= It's a very old computer. Students will have a pair check and then check their answers.
