To provide fluency and accuracy speaking practice in a conversation (fluency) / matching (accuracy ) in the context of achievements
Procedure (44-63 minutes)
the teacher shows a picture of a man then ask a question to the group ..where is he ? what do you think he is gonna do ? how does he feel ? the teacher asks the students to tell each other (pair work ) about an activity or hobby they will start how do they feel about it and if they have any ideas ? the teacher ask the students to share with the whole class their partner's answer
first the teacher asks the students to look at some pictures of three people then the teacher asks the students to read a blog which includes five achievements about only one person from these three ..individually without focusing in each detail they will read the blog to match between the achievements and the person
the teacher asks the students to read the blog again this time for details ..to complete the sentences with a verb from the blog ..but first he will answer the first one with them (modeling )
the teacher asks the students to check the answers together ..then the teacher start highlighting the meaning of the expressions ..the pronounciation ..the form then he will ask them ccqs to check their understanding
ex1.the teacher will ask the students to open page 141 and to go with matching to check their accuracy ..he will answer the first one with them (modeling ) then he will ask them to check their answers together ..then provide the answer key ex.2 the teacher asks the students to complete the gaps with only one expressions (individually ) then they can check together (in pairs ) he will monitor during the task
the teacher provides two starters of the sentences ( i would / wouldn't like to ) ( i have never ) the teacher asks the students to make complete the sentences by using the expressions then compare their sentences with their friends to find thing in common the teacher monitors during the task
the teacher ask the students to imagine they are going to prepare their own blog what five pieces of information they would like to provide they will tell their friends about their achievements
