Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-4 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will ask my students to discuss the following two questions: How often do you travel? Do you like to travel? I will ask students to discuss these questions in pairs in the break out rooms.

Pre-Reading/Listening (4-5 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

I will ask students to read the following sentences and answer the questions that follow them. MEANING: I RACED to the hospital. CCQ: Will I go to the hospital fast or slowly?/ Did I have an emergency? FORM: I will elicit the form from students PRONUNCIATION 1. I will model words 2. I will ask students to identify the number of syllables and stress 3. I will ask my students to drill

While-Reading/Listening #1 (6-7 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

I will ask ss to read the text quickly and create a title for it. I will give my students 3 minutes only and this will be individual work.

While-Reading/Listening #2 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

I will ask students to read statements in 1 minute. They will read the text and determine whether they are True or False and justify their answers.

Post-Reading/Listening (6-8 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

I will ask my students to discuss these questions: 1. If you had money, where will you travel and why?
