Procedure (21-31 minutes)
T initiate the conversation in a free dialogue with SS by telling them we are going to talk about inventions. T might ask this question to guide SS:How would you describe your best friend in one word? T write a few answers on the board
T shows the picture to student and takes a brief feedback on the picture: This is Emma what is she doing? She likes to give gifts to people right? Do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts?
Students should match the picture with the words that they have
T guides organize students in groups or pairs depending on the number of students available in the class.Students pair up and choose 3 adjectives that describe themselves and use them in sentences Partners take turns sharing their answers Example: “I’m hardworking and creative. Sometimes I’m shy.”
Recap the key adjectives learned and encourage students to use them outside of class. T gives a homework: Write a short description of a friend using 3 adjectives.
