To practice productive skills (writing for fluency) in the context of weird events.
To practice speaking for fluency in the context of weird events and aliens.
Procedure (46-52 minutes)
1). I'll play the music from the X-files film to get them interested in the topic.2).The students will have to guess what is this music? Than i'll show the students the sentence "We are not alone on the board" with a picture of an UFO. I'll ask if they've ever heard of something like that? What do they know about it?
1). I'll try to elicit TL by showing pictures.2). Then drill target language and record it on the board.3). I will concept check the meaning afterwards.
1).The students will be given hand outs with questions for discussion,2).The students will work in groups.3). After they finish we'll have a short feedback as a whole class.
1).The students will be given handouts.2). The students will have to answer the questions and write a story based on their answers. 3).The model will be demonstrated on the white board before they will start the task. 4).The students will work in pairs and discuss their possible answers.
1). After the students finish their discussion,they will work in pairs again and write a story about how they met an alien.2), After the students finish, i'll ask them to stick all writings to the wall,so everybody can come and read each others stories.
