Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (2-2 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

The students will be asked which of the 5 animals on page 70 is the most and the least dangerous.

Pre-Listening (3-4 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

The students will be informed about the meaning of the following vocabularies used in the text and audio by the help of AI-generated photos. likely (adv.) — poisonous (adj.) — by accident (idiom) — aggressive (adj.)

While-Listening #1 (4-4 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

The students will listen to the track and try to complete the 5th to 1st in the chart with the names of the land or sea animals. The answers will be checked with whole class.

While-Listening #2 (4-5 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

The students will listen to the track and try to complete the facts about the land or sea animals with one or two words in each blank. The answers will be checked with whole class.

Post-Listening (4-5 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

Students will be asked if the animals mentioned in the audio are dangerous where they live and if they hd an experience with any of them. The students are going to have debate and tell if they agree or disagree with their classmates’ opinions and support their ideas.
