Procedure (38-47 minutes)
T. shows Ss a Google slide with three photos and two questions. Each photo shows different Saturday's night plans: a party at a club, a dinner with friends and a night home watching TV. The questions are about their plans for this Saturday's night and which of the three pictures show their ideal plan. Ss discuss in an OC T. writes Ss contributions
T. shares Ss screen with jumbled e-mails. T. sets context: Robbie and Ian emailed each other about Saturday night. Put their emails in the correct order. A-3 B-1 C-4 D-2 T. shares a link for the activity. T. explains everyone will work on a certain page of the document. Each table will have Ss's name. Ss work individually Ss shares their answers in an OCFB T. shares the second activity: a chart for Ss to complete with the content of the emails: - places they wanted to go (A bar, The Boston Bar) - why they want to go there (It's got live music and coses at 2am) - the time to meet (9pm) - place to meet (23 Clifton Rd). T assigns each student a partner and explains they should read their partner's email, and put yes / no if they have fulfilled the criteria listed in the checklist: -Beggining -Place to go -Reasons to go there -Time and place to meet -Ending T gives Ss 1-2 mins to read their partner's email. Put them in BORs to give oral FB based on their checklist. Monitor and look for samples for DEC. Give DEC based on vocabulary and use of useful language.
