Description

In this lesson, students will learn how to sell an idea. The main aim is; vocabulary and sub-aims are; listening and speaking. The lesson will start with pictures of interesting inventions. Students will talk for a while about pictures. They will listen a native for further information how to sell an idea. Then students will prepare and describe their ideas to improve their speaking skills.

  • To provide gist and specific information about selling an idea.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (7-10 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Teacher greets the students. Students have already talked about their hopes and ambitious in this lesson they are going to talk about products. This stage helps students to engage the further topic.Teacher shows pictures to the students they will discuss their ideas. The teacher asks questions to clarify the vocabulary.

Exposure (10-12 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/vocabulary

As vocabulary is my main aim I will handout vocabulary exercise. Students are going to do vocabulary exercise from their workbook. Teacher gives instruction and students work in pairs.Then they answer together.

Productive Task(s) (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

Students are going to create their own product. Teacher gives instructions and says now it is your turn. Create your own product and try to share your ideas with your classmates. Teacher shows coloured papers and tells the students they can take notes or draw their product on these papers. Teacher gives them coloured papers. Teacher gives time to the students to think and design. They have 5 mins to create a product and then after that, the students mingle around the classroom and show their products to each other. The teacher monitors students and writes their sentences to find mistakes and to focus on good language.

Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

The teacher will write the sentences on the board and students will find the mistakes and reformulate sentences.
