To provide gist reading practice using a text about International night out in the context of socializing where students read the first paragraph to find three activities that have the verb go.
Subsidiary Aims

To provide fluency speaking practice about popular activities tourists can do when they visit Egypt in the context of socializing while ReadSpeak to listen to the pronunciation of the words students have gathered.

To provide practice of collocations with go in the context of socializing.
Procedure (29-45 minutes)
Check that everyone understands what is meant by go out, and ask one or two students to tell the class what they did when they went out recently. Check the meaning of live music and karaoke. Students work in small groups to discuss the questions before reporting back to the whole class.
Introduce the title of the article "International night out". Ask students what do you expect to find in the text. Elicit answers from students and write them on the board. This will help students be engaged and involved in the learning process and providing them with sufficient prior knowledge.
Ask students to read the first paragraph of the article in the context of socializing where students read the first paragraph to find three activities that have the verb go. Students work alone for three to five mins to complete the task. ICQ : How many verbs with go you will find ? Do you work alone or in groups? Using ICQ to make sure they understand what they are going to do.
Ask students to read again the whole text and complete sentences. Students will work in pairs so they can help each other. After finishing, Teacher will open a discussion for the feedback . Then pairs check if they have the same answers or not . Later, teacher show them the answer key and praise them. Students here will use the collocations they gathered from quizzes. Ask students to work in groups to discuss as many activities as they can. Give simple instruction : work in groups. Talk about activities we can do in Egypt. Teacher monitors students while working and aid them when needed. Highlight any mistakes on the board with mentioning names to provide a better classroom atmosphere.
