Procedure (41-54 minutes)
show the student a picture of a touristy city and ask her, imagin you have traveled to this city. your friend calls and you want to describe the city. which one of the items in the list would you talk about? "first impression some history feelings hotel places you visited sights and sounds
students read a paragraph about travelling to the city in the picture and check which one of the items in the list above are described in the text. then they will check the meanings of phrasal verbs in bold. then they will answer some questions in present perfect and simple past.
teacher will highlight sentences from the passage and by asking some questions elicits the difference between simple past and past perfect. then gives a paragraph with gaps to fill with the true from of the verb.
teacher asks some questions with the phrasal verbs and the language of the lesson and student answers them in details trying to use the target language
teacher writes the feedback and checks the answers with the student.
