Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (8-10 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Two truths and a lie Instructions: Each student thinks of 2 real experiences from the course (or life) and 1 fake one The group guesses which one is false Encourage use of past tense and passive voice (bonus points for grammar) 💬 Example: “I once forgot to bring my notes for a presentation.” “I helped clean a dog’s teeth.” “I spoke English to a stranger at the supermarket.”

Main Activity (33-35 minutes)

English Superlatives Awards Setup: Instructor or students create fun, lighthearted award categories 🏆 Example Awards: “Best Passive Voice User” “Most Improved Confidence” “Grammar Gladiator” “Smoothest Indirect Question” “Best Case Presentation Under Pressure” “The Silent Assassin” (quiet but consistent)

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

Closing Circle – “What I’ll Take With Me” Each student shares one sentence: “One thing I learned that I’ll use in real life is…” “My proudest moment this course was…” “If I hadn’t joined this class, I wouldn’t have...” Instructor wraps up with congratulations and final reflection.
