In this lesson, stds will look at some situations of misunderstanding such as going to a wrong place, getting the wrong adress, etc. They will learn some expressions related to the topic by drilling( pg.132/3.3). They will do some matching exercises (Q-A on pg 133/3.3) then will get checked by their pairs. On pg 39 (ex.4a) we'll read example conversations. Stds will fill in the missing words and then get checked in pairs (F/B). Stds will look at ex. 4a and they will think about what A will say next in each conversation. I will watch and support them when necessary. Next, stds will practise the same dialogues. ı will pick the good examples and let them read them. In ex. 5a, we will look at "reformulations". We will read the examples and let the stds think why people use reformulations. Stds will underline the reformulation phrases in the dialogues. Then F/B. In ex.6a stds will work together and role-play and then they will switch the roles and use the situation on pg 162. I will pick the pairs to act the role-play. In the next role-plays, stds will work with different partners and they will make up their own role-plays. Then they will swap when they are finished. I will watch them and write down the errors to be corrected later. Then I will write the errors and the good examples on the board . Stds willwork out which are good or bad examples and correct if necessary.
