Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will show Ss pictures of famous people and ask to discuss in pairs: - have you ever wanted to be famous? why? why not? - why do you think fame is so important for some people?

Pre-teach vocab (3-5 minutes) • to make student ready for speaking activity

teaching vocabulary is not my main aim so i will show some slides and teach vocab very fast and give Ss a handout with the new vocab in it.

Exposure (10-15 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

I will tell Ss they are going to read some sentences about a celebrity and his life. the sentences are in wrong order so they have to read them in pair and correct the order of them. after that I ask for volunteers to explain why they selected their answers (paying attention to references). after that I will play the recording for them to check their answers.

Productive Task(s) (10-15 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

I will give Ss the HOs in pairs so one of them will be the journalist and the other one celebrity. I will ask them to use the expressions in previous task and write some ideas (not complete sentences) about their role. after a few minutes they will play they roles in pairs for about 5 minutes.

Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

I will ask some pairs to play their role for everyone and ask others to try and find their errors (can you interrupt the pair?-no) after each pair we will do a FB.
