Main Aims

  • To provide specific information listening practice using a text about shakespear in the context of plays and poem

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide clarification of plays and poem in the context of shakespear's biography
  • To provide scan reading practice using a text about barney's fur in the context of being honest

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (10-15 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

students are going to review what have they learned from this unit about plays and theatre. Also they are going to talk about shakespear that how much do they know about him.

Exposure (10-15 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

they are going to listen to an audio about some facts of shakespeare. At firts they take a look at questions and find new words, After they recognize new words they will listen to the Audio and check the answers.

Highlighting (2-5 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

they will talk about facts that they've learned about shakespear

student's are going to read a text about being honest. I will engage them with some questions about honesty and pictures which are related to the text. Also i teach them new words and then i ask them read the text

Highlighting (2-5 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

Students must be able to talk about the story and value of honesty

Semi-Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

students have to answer the questions together and summarize the story
