Procedure (10-12 minutes)

Lead In (10-12 minutes) • To set the context of the lesson

T to initiate discussion on travel with pictures of places that she has travelled to. Tell ss about a problem faced while travelling. SS discuss their own problem travel experiences in groups. Feedback - nominate Ss from each group to share their experience with the class.

Stage 2

T to elicit phrases that Ss use to give advice/warning and write it on the board. This is to check the

Stage 3 • Listening for gist - Ss listen to four different conversations in the context of travel advice and warnings.

T to provide instructions. Ss listen to the recording and match conversations with situations. Ss to do it individually and discuss with their partner. Feedback - nominate Ss from each group and whole class feedback. Ss listen once again and identify the problems that they talk about in each conversation. Ss discuss with their partners Feedback - nominate Ss from each group and whole class feedback

Activity • Post listening: To provide with an opportunity to reflect on the language that they have heard and notice the phrases uses to provide advice and warning.

T to provide instructions and set it up as a group activity. The Ss will match the sentence halves with their groups.
