Procedure (35-45 minutes)
Ss will perform a mingle activity "an old friend".On the street while walking back home they find an old friend,whom they haven't seen since long time.They will ask him/her questions.For e.g:How are you?How is the family?where do you live?etc.For FB they will role play in front of the classThis activity will help as a basis for wh-questions.
Teach and elicit the phrases" in the week "and "at the weekend".Ss will learn the activities ppl do in the week and at the weekend.They will be asked to make eight wh-questions using the phrases given.Ss will work in pairs.They will check with the partner.
Ss will be asked to work in groups and ask each other questions.For each question find one student who does this at the same time as you.Write his/ her name.Tell the class two things that you and the other student do at the same time.T will teach and elicit the use of "Both" here.
T will make clear the concept of shop,hospital and office.Then Ss will be given info-gap activity in pairs.They have to make and ask the questions from the activity and answer it.Ss will ask each other in pair and fill it.Later Ss will check it with their partners.
Provided there is some time left at the end, a picture of a celebrity will be shown to the Ss and they will ask as many questions for a freer practice.
