In this lesson students will write about one of their family member.T will give the lay out and the vocabulary. Sts will follow the examples on page 29 and 30 an will complete their work. At the end t will ask the students to do the objectives review.

Main Aims

  • To provide process and product writing practice of a paragraph in the context of people

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide review and practice of family lexis in the context of people


Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T will write the word my brother in the middle and will ask the students to brainstorm words to provide information Ex name,Age ,country etc. Then teacher will write the word Topic and key vocabulary. T will explain that in writing we need topics and key words .T will show the tables and Mind maps that any of them come in exams.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

Dictation Race T will provide a model of writing and ask the students to run and write from around the room .The models will be pasted around the room. after that teacher will ask the students to match with the original writing . Teacher will discuss the information and the way it builds up.

Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

Now the teacher will ask the students to write about the person which the writer wants them to write about by completing the profile on page 29. After that teacher will direct the students to page 30 .teacher will explain sentence formation The format would be name-job- city-country- age-family -languages-height - hobbies -interests. t will ask the students to follow the table by Following the alphabets A-B -c Subject-Verb and Compliment

Productive Task(s) (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

Sts will write and then Sts will do the checklist before handing in for marking in pairs.

Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

T will provide feed back by writing the incorrect sentences on the board and proving a general correction Hw : Teacher will give a passage for correction to students as Hw so that their skills should improve.Students will be told to hand in to the teacher on Sunday after going through check list.
