Main Aims

  • To provide clarification, review and practice of Nouns and Verbs,singular and plural in the context of peo

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T will play Hang man using the word Unusual. T will give related words like uncommon,strange etc T will ask the students to check on page 21 what is unusual? T will take feed back from the students.

Pre-Reading/Listening (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

T will write words on the board ( Understanding Key vocabulary) tall (adj),lives (V), works( v),clothes (N) ,shoes( N),height ( N),farmer ( N) After explaining the words . T will Ask the students to Preview the text and answer the questions in pairs. T will ask the students to read the definition and discuss T will take feed back.

While-Reading/Listening #1 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

T will ask the students to scan the text and find answers for ex 3. T will take feed back Then sts will ask students to complete ex 4 This will be followed by discussion Show by presenting a model. Pick the words like he she ,doctor And start the next lesson of Nouns and verbs. Write some model sentences Like Sulatn Kosen is a farmer Iam a doctor

While-Reading/Listening #2 (14-16 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

T will ask the students to complete ex 1 from Language development Teacher will explain singular and plural Example: I have two sisters I have one brother T will explain the idea of Singular and plural by explaining these two sentences. T will ask the students to complete ex 3 at home by giving them one setence as amodel

Post-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned
