Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

what is culture shock? talk in pair 1 min. teacher tell ss compare mashhad and another city that they have visited. one min?

Pre-Reading/Listening (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

read part 1 where is he? read and tell me one good/bad things about him . ss look at the pictures and guess how it is continue. preteach ruuny nose and blow

While-Reading/Listening #1 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

part 4 and for scan reading match the photos and the suitable sentence in the book.

While-Reading/Listening #2 (14-16 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

ss find the mistakes in the text and disguss them in pair or group. ss are going to underline any time expressions in the text and discuss the meaning and make examples.

Post-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

ss are going to talk about part 5 and some questions on the cards as a freer practice
