Introduction to KET book and UNIT1 My Family



Main Aims

  • To provide practise for have got .. positive, negative, short contractions, with family tree
  • To provide product writing practice of a sentences in the context of family

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide family vocab
  • To provide fluency speaking practice in a coversation and script in the context of family
  • To provide fluency speaking practice in a debate in the context of unusual families


Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation
