To provide clarification and practice of parts of a house in the context of daily language
To provide fluency and accuracy speaking practice in a parts of a house in the context of daily
Procedure (28-45 minutes)
The teacher asks the whole class what kind of a house they are living in, whether they have their own rooms, how many floors they have in their houses.
The teacher shows the pictures of different parts of the house and pronounces each word. He elicits other vocabulary.
The teacher divides the class into three groups and does a drilling exercise each group and then with the whole class.
The SS tries to guess how to write each word and then check their guesses by opening their books.
The SS do a controlled practice by matching the words with the pictures on SB page 10. They do it individually.
The SS do the second exercise as a semi-controlled practice on page 10 of the SB. They fill in the gaps. And then they check their answers together with their pairs.
The SS work in pairs and try to describe their house to each other by looking at the examples on page 10, exercise 3.
