To provide specific information listening practice using a text about tourists and tourist guides in the context of travelling
To provide fluency speaking practice in a travelling
Procedure (32-44 minutes)
T will show SS some pictures about travelling and ask them what they are going to talk about in the lesson. T will ask them a question '' why do we travel? '' T will elicit the answers by brainstorming. SS will write on the board the reasons why they travel.
T will give them 4 words ( beach,city center,market,travel office) . SS will be asked to be careful with these words or try to catch them while listening the first time. Then they will share their ideas with their partners.
In this part T will give them some information in Ex 2. SS will read the questions first then they will listen and choose the correct answers. If they can't get it , T will make them listen again.
The students will listen the part again and T will ask them if they were tourists which questions would they ask about the place where they were in.
there is a small vocabulary part at the end of the exercise. T will write the words on the board. ( drive / flight / journey/ tour/ ride ) T will explain the differences then T will give the exercise which the words underlined should be changed with the words written above. IF TIME ALLOWS , I WILL DO THIS EXERCISE..
For the last part of the lesson,SS will be asked to close their eyes and imagine they travel..T will give them some questions '' where / how / who with / why. When they opened their eyes they will write down their ideas. then they will share their ideas with their group.
