Main Aims

  • To provide gist and inference reading practice using a text about family in the context of describing your self

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Teacher asks the students to ask her as many questions they can -Teachers listens and after 5 min gives answers

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

Teacher tells about her self and elicits from the students about the things she spoke name.age,country,job,experience,family,plans for the future And writes on the board. Then t divides the students in to groups and ask them to talk to each other about the same? Teacher provides a model for questions. What is your name? How old are you? What is your job? Tell me about your family on the ppt.

Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

T asks the students tio read page 18 and do excercise .T takes feed back Teacher drills the new learnt vocab

Productive Task(s) (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

T asks the students to listen to read the text on page 19 Takes feed back and asks them to guess whhere are they from? T plays the audio Sts check answrs in groups T takes feed back same for all excercises then t gives models on page 20 ex 7 Students work in groups and discuss

Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

T listens to them in groups and gives feed back
