listening about refugees
To provide gist and specific information listening practice using an mp3-file from news websites.
To practice listening and to provide fluency practice to use some vocabulary.
Procedure (15-16 minutes)
I will greet students and then show them some pictures and want them to tell me and guess about pictures and topic then start to talk about nowadays Europe problems and say some new words and try to elicit meaning and teach them briefly the vocabularies like emigrate and refugee then i want students to walk around the class and talk to other students about refugees.
i want to make them more involve and expose with the task. i want them to guess the T/F questions in two groups then i will write their answers on the board.
i want students to listen and answer the T/F questions and i ask some ICQs then i will check them and write them on the board.
i want students to listen again and fill the blanks in the worksheets then i ask some ICQs
i will give them some questions about the listening that they should do it in pairs. questions are different for example for student A and student B the i wil ask them some ICQs to make sure. for feedback i change their partner and want them to ask and answer the questions.
i want them to talk about this problem in groups that what will they do if they were European leaders then we will discuss about this topic.
