The T greets the sts and after that asks whether they have ever stayed in a hotel? I f they say yes she asks when, where, why and whether they liked it or not. The sts work in pairs and they share their partner's experience with the class.
The T gives a worksheet (Appendix 1) to the sts and asks them to put the wrods/phrases to the correct category (activitiers, natural word, buldings/room). Later they chaeck their answers with their pairs and after that the T gives WC FB. Later the T teaches the word the sts don't know.
The T divides the class into two. She gives the first reading (Hostel Celica) to the first group and the second reading (The magic Mountain Hotel) to the second group. She asks them to read their text quickly and find which of the words they put into category are in their text. After that they check the answers with their partners and the T gives WC FB by nominating sts.
The T asks the sts to read the text again and answer the questions (Appendix 2). .After that they cehck the answers with their pairs and the T gives the answer key (Answer key 3) and they cehck the correct answers. If they have a mistake they discuss it with the other pairs or teacher. After that the T changes the pairs (one from the first group and one from the second group). The sts summarize their texts to their new partner from the other group by answering the questions on Appendix 2.
The T asks sts to discuss the questions (Appendix 4) with their partner and after that they ashre their ideas with whole class.
